Charleston Guide: Where to Eat

Hey everyone! So, if you haven't been keeping up with my blog or any social media accounts, I recently went on my annual spring break trip to Charleston! I had so much fun (as always) and tried some new great restaurants! I often get questions about the best places to go to in Charleston, and while I have two other Charleston Guide posts, I figured it might be a good idea to divide one guide up into a bunch of posts so I can go into more detail! I will be posting two other guides on Tuesday, so  be sure to check back next week! Let me know what you think!! So anyways, if you haven't heard, Charleston has tons of amazing restaurants that would be perfect to go to! But, let's be realistic, you will only be able to hit a few within the time span of your trip! I am always looking for new recommendations for places in Charleston as well, since I am in Charleston so often and it's practically my home!! So here are a few of my favorites that I tried during my recent trip...

The Obstinate Daughter
The perfect brunch.

For Easter Sunday, we made reservations at the Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan's Island for brunch! I immediately fell in love with the rustic, nautical decor! I almost got my typical brunch order: french toast, but I decided to try something different and I went with the shrimp roll and Geechie frites, which were basically  fried grits! I was super happy with my decision! Plus: look how Instagram-able it was! I would definitely come here again!

Beard Cat's Sweet Shop
A quick dessert.

Beard Cat's is part of the Obstinate Daughter and is located right below it! After we had brunch, I got the espresso ice cream for dessert! Beard Cat's is adorable and would even be perfect after a day on the beach!

Sermet's Downtown
Upscale yet relaxed meal.

After a day of shopping, my mom and I decided last minute that we would try Sermet's for lunch! I ordered the filet mignon beef tips over cheese tortellini! It was so delicious and the service was great! I would suggest going for lunch because when we went, we were able to get a table easily and I have heard that it fills up quickly for dinner!

Home Team BBQ
Post beach snack or lunch.

After relaxing at the beach for a few hours, we decided to grab lunch at Home Team on Sullivan's Island! I loved sitting outside and watching the traffic go by as I enjoyed some ribs, fries, and mac and cheese (which btw, was delicious)!

Red's Ice House
Casual seafood and a pretty view.
Menu

We always go to Red's because they have great sea food and a perfect view for pictures. I got the fried shrimp and french fries and that was delicious as always!!!

Let me know if you get a chance to visit any of these restaurants!!! Thanks for reading!
