Interview with Caroline: The Designer Behind LCB Collection

Hello everyone! Today I am interviewing Caroline! The blogger and designer behind LCB Collection! I have always wondered what it would be like to actually design clothes and it was so much fun to be able to ask Caroline a few questions about her newest collection!! Enjoy! :)

When did you first discover your love for fashion?
I honestly cannot remember an exact moment when I “discovered” my love for fashion, because my love for fashion is not something that really had a “start date.” I have loved fashion as well as the art, creativity, and beauty of it for as long as I can remember, and it has always been a part of me.

What was the first thing you designed?

Art, creativity, and design are three things that I have pursued my whole life, and I love the joy found in seeing an idea turn into a finished product. I think the first thing I "designed" were t-shirts in junior high and high school for various groups, Bible studies, and school events. My first true fashion design that I created was a wool mini skirt my freshman year of college.

Who are your favorite designers?

My favorite designers are Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren, and Tibi!

What is the inspiration behind your newest collection?

The inspiration for my newest collection came from day dreaming of warm sunny days at the beach in the midst of winter. I envisioned travels, long days in beach towns, and admiring the work of our Creator (especially the amazing sunsets He paints for us).

Do you have a favorite piece from LCB collection?

If I had to choose, I think my favorite piece is the Stella Vest! I love how the layered fringe turned out, and it is definitely a fun piece to wear!

Are you currently working on any new projects?

I am in the planning stages for several projects. One is design related, and another one is a fashion art project (see peeks on Instagram @lcb_art) that I cannot wait to share more about on LCB Style!

Do you have any advice for girls wanting to take a big leap (whether it's creating a clothing line or anything else)?

My biggest advice would be to go for it! If you have a passion, pursue it! There is no better time to explore your interests and chase your dreams than right now!

A  big thank you to Caroline for letting me interview her!!! Be sure to check out her blog and new collection!!!

Thanks for reading!
